The creative for the campaign was designed by Blackberry and will appear on 50 taxis operating in London until 2009.
The taxi sides feature a red carpet design, with a red rope, along with the slogan ‘Owners lounge: Your seat is reserved’.
Passengers who take a ride in one of the branded cabs and who own a Blackberry phone will be offered a £3 discount on their fare in return for registering to the Blackberry Owners Lounge.
Registration forms will be on display within the cabs bearing the heading ‘Blackberry Owners’ and encourage passengers to sign up during their journey.
Registration is free and once complete the passenger will also be eligible for members-only offers on software, games, competitions and other information.
Lee Dentith, managing director of Cabvert, said: “We are very excited to be working with Blackberry in the very unique campaign. “With 50 cabs located in London, the Blackberry brand will be getting maximum exposure and the opportunity for discounted taxi fares will certainly attract interest from Blackberry users all over the capital.”
